Project Branding
Optional dropdown of themes created in Organization Settings.
Setting Up Themes
Themes are created in Organization Settings, not in individual project settings. Once created, a theme is available to all projects in your organisation.
Steps:
- Go to Organization Settings
- Create a theme: give it a name, upload your logo, and set your brand colours (see below)
- Save the theme
- Return to your project's Instructions
- Select the theme from the Project Branding dropdown
What a Theme Contains
When you create a theme you can set:
- A name for the theme, so you can recognise it in the dropdown
- A logo (and favicon) that participants see during the interview
- Brand colours, chosen with colour pickers, that style the interview participants see — including the main accent colour, the chat background, the progress bar, and the consent screen
You don't need to know any colour codes by heart — pick your colours with the colour pickers and Tellet applies them to the interview.
Theme Selection
Editable before and after publishing; locked after completion.
Privacy Policy URL
Required text input that must be a valid URL including https:// or http://.
- Correct:
https://yourcompany.com/privacy
- Incorrect:
www.company.com/privacy or company.com/privacy (both missing https://)
Tellet checks the URL format when you save. An invalid URL shows "Please enter a valid URL" and prevents publishing.
Research Objective Character Limit
Limited to 700 characters, validated in real time with a counter showing remaining characters. To make the most of the limit, cover WHO you're researching, WHAT you're studying, the key topics to explore, and WHY the research matters.
Interview Audience Character Limit
Limited to 100 characters, validated in real time with a counter. Be concise and specific.
Examples:
- "Small business owners with 5-50 employees" (46 chars)
- "Primary care physicians, 5-20 years experience" (47 chars)
- "College students aged 18-25" (28 chars)

Editing Permissions
Role-Based Access
- Can View: View-only; cannot edit any fields.
- Owner and Can Edit: Full editing access before publishing. After publishing, some fields lock for research consistency while others stay editable (see below). After completion, everything is read-only.
Status-Based Editing
All fields stay editable through the Draft, Ready, Awaiting Approval, and Approved statuses — right up until the project is published.
Live status. After publishing, these fields lock:
- Interviewer name
- Company name
- Research objective
- Interview audience
- Primary language
- Allow language selection
- Tone of voice
These remain editable:
- Response types
- Analysis language
- Privacy policy URL
- Project branding
Completed status. All fields locked (historical record).
Why Lock After Publishing
Locking ensures research integrity. If settings changed mid-study, different participants would experience different interviews, responses would not be comparable, and research validity would be compromised.
Multi-Language Configuration
Language Analysis Workflow
Scenario 1: Single Language
- Primary Language: English
- Allow Language Selection: No
- Analysis Language: English
- Result: All participants use English, analysis in English
Scenario 2: Multiple Interview Languages, Single Analysis Language
- Primary Language: English
- Allow Language Selection: Yes
- Analysis Language: English
- Result: Participants can choose their language, all analysis in English
Scenario 3: Different Interview and Analysis Languages
- Primary Language: Spanish
- Allow Language Selection: No

Language Selection Behaviour

- When disabled: All participants use the primary language.
- Mid-interview: Participants cannot change language after starting.
Response Type Restrictions
At least one response type must be selected. If only one is selected, you cannot deselect it (the checkbox stays on). To switch to a different single type, select the new one first, then deselect the old one.
Privacy Policy Validation Errors
Error: "Please enter a valid URL" — the URL is missing https:// (or http://) or is otherwise malformed. Add https:// to the beginning of the URL and check it is typed correctly.
Tone of Voice
Dropdown with five options: Friendly, Formal, Neutral, Empathetic, Challenging. Choose one. Tone is locked after publishing — it cannot be changed once the project is published.
