Brief your AI interviewer using text snippets.
Context snippets are text fields where you provide background information to train the AI interviewer. Each snippet can contain product details, terminology, research goals, or participant information.
Good to know:
1,400 characters per snippet
You can use multiple snippets to organise your context by topic
A live character counter shows how much space you have left
The first snippet can't be removed
Describe your product in 2-3 sentences.
TaskFlow is a project management platform for creative teams. Key features include kanban boards, time tracking, team collaboration, and AI task suggestions. We launched 2 years ago and have 50,000 users, mainly at tech startups and creative agencies.
Define specialised vocabulary so the AI understands participant language.
'Churn' means customers cancelling subscriptions. 'MRR' is Monthly Recurring Revenue. 'Power user' is someone who uses 10+ features regularly. 'Onboarding' is the first-week experience after signup.
Include your company, competitors, products, and features with correct spellings.
Our company is 'BrightBasket' (not Bright Basket or Brightbasket). Our CEO is Sam Rivers. Main competitors are FreshCart and GroceryGo. Our flagship feature is 'Smart Lists' (capital S and L). Pricing tiers: Free, Professional, and Enterprise.
Share relevant participant background.
All participants purchased from our platform in the last 30 days. About 60% are repeat buyers, 40% first-time customers. They've consented to product research and understand this is about improving the shopping experience.
If you need the AI to follow legal disclaimers, compliance rules, or a list of topics it should not raise, add them as their own snippet rather than trying to fit them into Research Objective. Research Objective is capped at 700 characters; a context snippet gives you up to 1,400, and you can add more than one.
Do not discuss competitor pricing, unreleased features, or pending litigation. If a participant asks for medical, legal, or financial advice, decline and redirect them to the next question.
See Context & Training: Complete Guide for more detail and examples.
Go to the Context & Training section of your project
Enter your background information in the snippet field
Keep each snippet within its 1,400 character limit — watch the counter below the field
Click Add snippet to create another; remove an unwanted snippet with the X button (the first snippet can't be removed)
Tip: rather than cramming everything into one block, keep each snippet focused on a single topic (for example one for your product, one for terminology, one for your participants).
