How do I set up panel integration with completion links?
In the Share tab, enable the Panel Integration toggle and enter the panel name. Configure your confirmation and screened-out URLs using the --PARTICIPANTID-- placeholder exactly as written (case-sensitive). Append participant_id=XXXX to the interview URL for each panelist. Tellet substitutes the correct participant ID in your completion, screened-out, and quota-full links automatically.
How does dynamic participant tracking work?
Pass any key=value pairs in the Tellet link URL (e.g. ?participant_id=1234&source=prolific&age=35). Tellet stores these as metadata on the conversation. They appear in exports and can be used for filtering results. The --PARTICIPANTID-- placeholder is replaced with whatever value was passed in the participant_id parameter.
What URL parameters does the participant-facing interface support?
participant_id (unique respondent identifier), language (pre-sets the interview language, skips language selection), skipConsent=true (bypasses the consent screen for survey embedding contexts where consent is obtained elsewhere), source (identifies the referral channel for analytics), environment=sandbox (test mode, data not stored), inputMethods (comma-separated list to restrict response modes: text, audio/voice, video, image). Any additional custom parameters (e.g. score, segment, product, store) are stored as metadata and can be referenced in questions using the %%variableName%% syntax.
Can I embed Tellet into my website?
Yes. An iframe embed code is available in the Share tab. Copy the HTML and paste it into your website. Required allow attributes: camera, microphone, autoplay. Ensure your website uses HTTPS, as browsers require it for camera/microphone access.
Do you support Zapier or Slack/Teams integrations?
Zapier is not currently supported. Tellet does not have a native Slack or Teams integration, but the Tellet team can be contacted via both platforms.
Can participants join via WhatsApp?
Yes. Distribute the interview link via a WhatsApp message. Participants click the link and open the interview in their mobile browser.
Does Tellet work offline?
No. An internet connection is required. Minimum recommended speeds: text responses any speed, audio 0.5 Mbps download / 1 Mbps upload, video 2 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload.
What browsers and devices do participants need?
Supported browsers: Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 14+, Edge 90+, Opera 76+, Brave 1.24+, Chrome Mobile 90+, Safari iOS 14+, Firefox Android 88+, Samsung Internet 14+.
Not supported: Internet Explorer, Opera Mini, UC Browser.
Supported devices: any computer, tablet, or phone from the last 5 years running a supported browser. For video: iPhone 8 or newer, Android 2020 or newer. Screen: minimum 375px width.
Can Tellet capture responses from participants in China or Hong Kong?
In China and Hong Kong, only text responses can be captured. Audio responses cannot be recorded due to firewall restrictions in these regions. If you are running research with participants based in China or Hong Kong, we recommend enabling text-only response mode for your study.
